Poster Design for Waccamaw Week

The Waccamaw Week is an annual educational conference for the public focused on the importance of our natural water resources and efforts to protect them. The 2025 conference is hosted by the Waccamaw RIVERKEEPER® Program of Winyah Rivers Alliance. This community conference will take place over the week of World Water Day from March 22 - 28, 2025.

CONFERENCE THEME

Our theme this year is Wildlife of the Waccamaw! Native animals play an important role in maintaining a healthy Waccamaw River watershed ecosystem, while invasive animals are those that are not native to an area, but are able to survive due to favorable conditions. These animals can wreak havoc on our beautiful rivers, making it difficult for natives to survive and produce the next generation of animals within the Waccamaw River. The Waccamaw River has a very diverse ecosystem, brimming with a wide variety of animals that makes fun for all, all year round. Wildlife of the Waccamaw aims to celebrate the animals that are important and interacted with daily!

ART For a Musician

The song I’m recording now is called “Good Thing.” I could send an audio file over like last time if you’d like to hear. For this one, I’m imagining two androgynous looking people laying on the grass looking at the clouds in the sky. Some of the clouds can be normal, but some could be loosely heart shaped, and then the focal point will be bubble letter clouds that spell out GOOD THING. That’s the idea I have for this one. This one is more positive and upbeat in meaning. About having feelings for someone and thinking you could share a “good thing” together.
